Hello Garden Variety readers. This week I am sharing some recent pages from a sketchbook that lives on my desk. I mostly draw in it at night when I'm feeling anxious and need to clear my mind.
The other week I was practicing with some new pens I got that I was planning to use for a comic. They're calligraphy markers so you can get some pretty interesting lines out of them. The comic came out pretty good I think, I might post about it here at some point.

Signing off this week with a cool mushroom I saw this weekend in Staten Island on an extremely hot and humid walk with the New York Mycological Society. It's one I'd been wanting to see for a while but never had, and they were everywhere!
Okay wait one more....I just love how romantic mushrooms can be sometimes.
