Tag Your Bestie

When I was younger I thought art that was too sad (?) was not good art, because it was somehow untrue (?). Now I don't know what I think. I didn't set out to make these into an animation, but they wound up animating pretty well anyway.

This is a time lapse portrait of sort-of-me and my own bestie. One way it's not true is that over the years we have generally had much stupider haircuts. Correctly depicting our haircuts would certainly make it truer, but I didn't have the guts. Boomeranging it also makes it less sad, and possibly somehow more true? This stuff is pretty mystical, honestly.
